VIDEO: More rain & wind as low pressure moves into NZ

A low in the Tasman Sea will reach NZ by Friday but before now and then more rain and wind will blow through, with temperatures well above normal for this time of year due to the sub-tropical component.

Thursday and Friday look wet and windy in a number of places.

We go into detail about latest rainfall figures – and of course, as always, refer to rainfall data in our new app or websites for your local estimates.

The low falls apart by Saturday with a weak southerly change – but high pressure starts to return over Sunday and Monday from the west with a few showers and larger dry areas.

We have your detailed New Zealand forecast through to Monday. Keep up to date with MetService official warnings.
