VIDEO: Big high before Monday’s storm

A stormy low on Monday and Tuesday is expected to bring severe weather risks into both main islands of New Zealand – but before it arrives we have big high pressure zone moving in. It will cross the South Island on Thursday, then moves into the North Tasman Sea for Friday and Saturday, then north to north east of NZ by Sunday and Monday.

Behind the high comes in cloud and patchy rain/showers – especially on Sunday.

By Monday a storm will be centred near the southern South Island and may well bring severe gales, heavy rain and some snow to the mountains too.

We have your full forecast to Tuesday next week
