We’re unabashed weather fanatics here – as you’d expect – and we sometimes get so involved in the intricacies of forecasts and models that we tend to forget – not everyone is as crazy about the climate as we are!

We wanted to know in this week’s poll how many of our readers are likeminded – are we all regular weather checkers, or is weather simply a passing interest when we have an outdoor event or trip planned?

Well, we got our answer loud and clear in the results of this week’s poll – with a combined 90% of voters telling us they check their forecast AT LEAST once daily, if not more.

Weather can dictate a huge amount for New Zealanders – it affects our work, our play and our economy – so our forecasts here on our website and in our videos are important – and we’re continuing to make improvements right across the company.
