VIDEO: Some wet weather is heading to NZ – but it’s patchy

Some cooler nights will give way to sub-tropical air again this weekend, especially in the North Island ahead of a fairly weak cold front moving up the nation.

By next week the front falls apart over northern NZ and a weak area of low pressure may form. This brings some wet weather chances to “hit and miss” parts of both main islands – ahead of the next high pressure zone later next week.

We also look at the weather around some parts of Australia – including a low in the Coral Sea to just “keep an eye on”.

And there’s a mention of what might be lurking around the corner going into March.
