Upper North Island

Rain with heavy falls possible at times, easing later this evening. The Bay Of Plenty only sees patchy showers or drizzle, some rain for a time in the evening about western Bay Of Plenty. Humid northeasterly winds. Temperatures reaching into the low to mid twenties.

Lower North Island

Rain, chance of a few heavy falls then easing in the evening. Northern Hawkes Bay and Gisborne stays mainly dry with some high cloud. Wellington sees early rain ease to the odd shower. Northerly winds. High’s in the low twenties.

Upper South Island

Mostly cloudy with showers for North Westland, Nelson and Marlborough, winds from the north. Southern Marlborough through to Canterbury is mainly dry and sunny, some high cloud possible. This afternoon showers develop about South Canterbury, some may become heavy then easing later. A shower or two may spread northwards to about Banks Peninsula in the evening with a southwest change. High’s in the low to mid twenties, high twenties for parts of Canterbury.

Lower South Island

Mainly dry first thing this morning, late morning showers develop with a southerly winds. Showers may be heavy this afternoon then easing later on / overnight. South Westland sees a few showers this morning then some sun breaks through this afternoon with showers moving into the ranges. Temperatures reaching into the low to mid twenties.
