Thursday Newsfeed: Colder air moves in, windy for many regions

A cold southerly spreads up NZ today and into Good Friday thanks to high pressure near Tasmania and low pressure east of the country.

Check your local forecast for temperature trends and the most likely times for any possible wet weather.

It will also be windy in some exposed areas – our wind graphs in our new app show when these winds will peak and ease in the 10 days ahead.

We’ll have full details about Easter Weekend weather in our video out later today – please note our video will be late today, not published until mid afternoon. We also have a special Good Friday video out tomorrow.
