RainWatch – Unsettled and wet for the weekend

A low pressure system continues to bring showers to parts of the North Island on Saturday, Coromandel across to East Cape sees some rain. Rain or showers for Nelson / Marlborough, some drizzle along the South Islands east coast. The West Coast has a mainly dry day then overnight a front closes in from the west bringing rain.

A southerly quarter airflow pushes into the South Island on Sunday bringing rain, especially in the east. West to northwesterly winds over the North Island bring rain or showers to all western regions, mainly dry out east.
