RainWatch – A cold front starts to move northwards on Wednesday

A northwest airflow brings rain to the western side of the South Island on Wednesday, a cold front then pushes northwards starting out about Southland around midday then reaching Canterbury in the evening. A few showers tease the western North Island from evening then rain moves in overnight as the aforementioned front closes in. Mainly dry for the eastern North Island but rain will move in there on Thursday.

Rain accumulation through till 6am Monday next week shown in the map below. North Canterbury, coastal Marlborough and the east coast of the North Island sees some decent rain at times from later on Thursday through till overnight Friday.
