Mainly cloud free skies over the country today under the influence of an anticyclone centred just west of New Zealand. Some high cloud can be expected over the lower half of the South Island, general cloud should also be about on the West Coast with drizzle patches for Fiordland.

Mainly sunny with light south to southwest breezes, any morning fog patches clear.

Sunny with light southwesterlies.

Central North Island & Waikato
Sunny after areas of morning fog clear, light winds.

Eastern North Island
Mainly sunny with light winds tending northeast in the afternoon in coastal areas.

Western North Island
Mainly sunny with light winds tending southwest about northern Taranaki.
Highs: 14-15

Wellington
Mostly sunny with light northerly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds.

Sunny with some cloud, light winds tend southerly or southwest this morning then light northeast in the afternoon near the coast.
