A risk of morning fog for many parts of the North Island on Tuesday morning mainly just inland away from the coast. Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud after any low cloud or fog clears.

Sunny areas and some high cloud for the South Island, plenty of morning cloud about coastal areas then breaking away. Risk of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening about inland parts of the lower South Island.
