Lower North Island

Mainly sunny with light winds tending onshore this afternoon. The east coast sees morning patchy showers clear then cloud breaks to sunny spells this afternoon, southerly winds gradually ease.

Upper South Island

Mainly sunny weather, some cloud about Nelson, Marlborough and Buller breaks this afternoon. Northeasterly winds develop this afternoon along the east coast, afternoon northerlies for Nelson and west to northwesterly winds along the West Coast.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny weather, cloud builds about South Westland in the evening with showers there later on. Light winds this morning tend onshore this afternoon.
