The wintry cold front continues to march up the South Island, now reaching the northern part of the island before crossing Cook Strait late afternoon and the lower North Island early evening.
Reports of temperature drops, heavy hail and dramatic clouds have come in to WeatherWatch.co.nz from our South Island followers on social media.
Windier weather moves in overnight and through Wednesday morning for the South Island’s east coast.
