After a few very wintry days, with heavy rain, strong winds and low temperatures in some places, autumn is set for a comeback – with a westerly flow once again set to dominate our weather.
The very large subtropical northeast airflow begins to move away from the country across the weekend, giving way to a westerly wind system – meaning rainclouds and winds picking up for parts of the western South Island.
