Interesting weather in Europe at present: Temperature anomaly between the past Sunday (April 14th) and the following Sunday (April 21st), from around 15 °C too warm to more than 10 °C below average temperature.

Hi there, we’re not sure why this has happened. We’ve had another person contact us with a similar issue, where it shows some local data but then the forecasts are for a larger location close/nearby. We’re looking into it, so thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Hi there,
Is there a way to change the units of measure eg wind in knots?
Thanks

Hi Ian, no “knot” yet lol 🙂
Working on it though and hope to bring an upgrade later this year.

Hi Josh, thanks for the kind words of support! MetService are covering possibilities as with this sort of sub-tropical “squash zone” the rain can become intense (locally) and linger. At this stage we’re focused on winds being more problematic with gusts into gale force this afternoon and evening. We’ve been providing lines company Vector updates on these gales since last Saturday. Rainfall looks to be 35 to 70mm across the region (which makes it borderline for rain warning).
Cheers

cheers guys. Do you think a state of emergency needs to be declared for the west coast now? am haring of impacts there. state of emergencies dont need to be declared with red warnings.

That’s outside our area sorry, up to them on the ground to call that – and red warnings force it I believe.
