Weather Forecast for Tauranga

Typical week of SW coming up only to be interuppted by a low coming down from the north next week,no doubt a return to them again after 2 days.

Just wondering of anyone else is experiencing the same as I always have and that is the bottom of the boxes for Auckland are cutting off the wording so no 5 day forecast is complete. Would love a fix! Thanks

Looks like miserable week ahead of us, when can we next expect clear skies? Any ideas?

Hi there

This could vary a little bit depending on temperature and moisture levels in the air. For Sunday it's looking like periods of cloud with sunny breaks aswell.

At this stage we are expecting a cloud base of around 500m in the morning lifting to 800m in the afternoon but lowering again to 400m in the evening for Auckland. I would take those figures and +/- 100m either side for some possible variance.

Hi. What sort of altitude do you expect the cloud base to be at on Sunday? This will affect my planned photography. Do you know where I can find this type of forecast on the web? I haven't been able to locate anything.

Was heavy rain in New Lynn following our bright red sunset. Didn't last long though.

Hi, would you expect fog at Auckland Airort Sunday 27th May please.

17 a bit of an ask today with the cloud etc.

Hi WW - group of friends and I are looking to get in maybe two (2) separate m/bike rides AK - south over the coming weekend.

Ride 1 - to Waikaretu (sth of Pt Waikato & nth of Raglan) & return same day. Times 2pm- 5/6pm.

Ride 2 - to Waitomo Caves area & return same day. Time all day 8am - onwards.

Had a good look at your interactive maps and my understanding is that there shouldn't be rain until late on Sunday 27 May (6pm onwards?).

However Sat 26th shows 10% chance precepitation. Any idea of time of day for AK area and will that rain turn up down Waikaretu area during day?

Any advice gratefully received by us.

A year ago today was when we had the bad "pea soup fog" when I saw the patches about I was wondering if it would be the same.
I remember also, the day we had condensation on all windows appear inside, warmer out than inside early in the day.

Frost on neighbours lawn and ice bits on car today.

Just a quick suggestion, rather than have overnight maximum temperature listed, wouldn't it be more relevant to list the overnight minimum? (perhaps more relevant for the cooler months)

I would assume that most people would be more interested in how cold it's going to be overnight so they can prepare accordingly....woolly socks...electric blanket...etc.

OMG it's freezing tonight. Couldn't get to sleep I was so cold and I had to stand under a really hot shower for AGES just to get warm.

Do you think this is going to be a colder winter than last year?

Hopfeully today (Sat 19 March) will be an OK day for washing in Auckland? We've already had one shower so I hope thats it for the rest of the day!

A beautiful clear Auckland night until heading west into a few spits of rain.

Looks much better in Auckland Tues-friday at this stage,it be good to finally get rid of the nasty SW flow by sunday.

We've had a couple of squalls tonight in Meadowbank, I thought the roof might lift at one point.

Also a couple of times this evening we've had precipitation so loud on the roof that I couldn't hear my children talking (not very quietly!). Rain has never been loud on the roof in this house before so I wonder if it was hail. It was too dark out to see properly.

Hi there, I live in Hamilton and was wondering if it was worth taking a punt and driving through to Auckland for my sons soccer game this morning at 10am .... the game is dependant on rain? How's Auckland doing this morning? Hamilton started off with blue skies but now overcast and nippy:-)

hi would you have any idea when a trip from clevedon river to great barrier would be best in the next few weeks? im guessing the low that has just passed would keep the sea choppy on that route through the weekend. thanks
