A cooler change moves in on Friday bringing showers – but clearing some of the rain from northern areas.

Waitangi Day looks cold and windy for some southern and eastern areas – but a high is rolling in (the reason for the windy south to south west change) and both Saturday and Sunday look much drier, calmer and warmer nationwide.
