Weather Video: Sub-tropical low to skirt past NZ, dry to dominate next 2 weeks

Filed in:

New Zealand is entering a decent dry spell and that is despite a second sub-tropical low in a week heading our way for the weekend. The low is almost a complete repeat of last weekend with over 90% of the system out at sea, but just enough to brush the north of the country with cloud, some wind and a chance of showers or some patchy rain.

By Sunday the low will be weakening and high pressure will be building across the country.

Monday kicks off with a slightly cooler day for some but it should warm up and eastern showers in the North Island should fade.

All of next week sees high pressure rolling. There will be some showers and daytime downpours though, we’ll update where when we get to next week (but most likely around the ranges/mountains).
