VIDEO: High pressure still dominates NZ’s weather, but rain makers increasingly surround us

Filed in:

We have high pressure and sub-tropical breezes dominating most parts of New Zealand this week but that doesn’t mean it’s settled for all, with a cold front moving into the West Coast on Wednesday with rain there and wind inland and to the east.

Also a cooler change arrives mid-week for those around Southland and Otago.

Later this week high pressure looks to dominate but a new low forms in the Tasman Sea on Friday and grows over the weekend. We also talk about the tropics - with two new lows forming up there next week.

**Please note, due to people away we have no video on Tuesday but will have extra news stories on our website and app instead. Apologies for any inconvenience.
