Inclement weather also affects the lower and eastern North Island. The odd shower elsewhere with long dry spells too.

Showers at times with cold southwesterlies, snow flurries to 800m in the morning lowering to 500m at night. During the morning there may be long dry spells with even a few sunny periods. Showers more persistent from afternoon.

Mostly cloudy with cold southerly winds, rain or showers ease afternoon then clear in the evening with some snow to 400m.
