Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny spells, a few isolated showers possibly heavy this afternoon. Bay Of Plenty and perhaps large parts of Waikato looking to stay mainly dry. Light winds tend Sou’West after midday, afternoon northerlies for Bay Of Plenty.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A few morning showers then clearing to some sun, an isolated shower or two may re form this afternoon for inland areas. South to southeast winds.
Highs: 21-23
Eastern North Island
Early heavy rain eases about East Cape / Gisborne, sunny spells otherwise. A few showers for the Wairarapa spreading northwards in the evening.
Highs: 20-23
Occasional showers, especially this morning. Southerly winds.
High: 18
Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly cloudy for Marlborough, may be a shower from afternoon as light winds tend easterly. Nelson is mostly sunny, some cloud from afternoon as light winds tend north to northeast.
Highs: 19-20
High cloud, some mid level cloud Banks Peninsula northwards. Southerlies.
Highs: 18-20
West Coast
High cloud, light winds tend west to southwest this afternoon.
Highs: 19-23
Southland & Otago
High cloud for Southland, light winds tend southerly this afternoon with thickening cloud, evening patchy showers. Otago has sunny areas and some high cloud, light winds tend to the east or southeast this afternoon.
