The weather has certainly played a big part in our lives this summer - firstly with floods and slips, then washed out holidays, then near droughts, now stunning days mixed with cold snaps!

Vote in our poll! --- OK, so firstly let's realise that not every summer is like this one, but the recent rain and cold weather across many parts of the country does highlight that New Zealanders take their main national summer holidays at a time when summer has barely started.

Spring has been cloudy and wet for a number of areas, wintry at times for some and humid and warm for others.

Windy weather can make us feel healthy and alive - it can also make us feel crazy and even depressed.

As the spring westerlies pick up over the country we wanted to know what you think - vote in our poll!

Winter 2011 is over and we wanted to know how you found it?  In our unscientific poll we just want to know how you generally found the past few months.  Winter this year was warm to start with, mild in the middle then ended cold.

We're now heading into the most active part of the hurricane season in North and Central America and typhoon season in eastern Asia - and we want to know how interested you are in reading about these tropical storms.

Some love southerlies, some hate easterlies - the wind direction can have a profound affect on the weather conditions where you are. 

We want to know which wind direction is your favourite - and if you have a direction that's especially bad, post a comment and tell us why (and where you're from!).
