The weather across New Zealand remains settled this afternoon despite a weak front moving across the lower South Island.

Most of the North Island has a temperature in the low to mid 20s this afternoon with Auckland the hottest place on 26 degrees.

Wellington has 22 and the upper South Island has 23.

  Queensland's South-East is mopping up after some of the highest rainfalls seen in almost a century.

  Two deaths have been blamed on the weekend deluge.  A 47-year-old woman was swept away when a wall of water came rushing through Bouldercombe Gorge south of Rockhampton yesterday.
