Sounds like something from a science fiction movie doesn't it? Welcome to the year 2010.

Pronouncing 2010
I'm betting that by 2011 everyone will be saying 'twenty-eleven' - nothing 'American' about it - just rolls of the tongue easier. However, for the sake of argument, I might just be calling this year 'one-score-and-ten'. :)

Great pic, looks like a palm tree! Hard to know how to say 2010, twenty ten sounds too American, two thousand and ten, i agree is too long winded.You have to concentrate when writing it too! Just for a laugh how about two o one o, or even two zero one zero. Don't suppose it matters anyway as long as it's a good year/decade for NZ!
