Upper North Island

Areas of cloud and sun, there may be an isolated shower or two. Showers more likely during the afternoon, some could become heavy with thunderstorms then easing later in the evening. Light northeasterly winds. Temperatures reaching into the mid twenties.

Lower North Island

Morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, showers developing in the afternoon especially inland where some could become heavy with thunderstorms then easing later in the evening. Coastal areas may stay fairly dry all day especially in the east. Winds from the northeast mostly although tending westerly in the afternoon for western regions. Temperatures reaching into the mid twenties.

Upper South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, cloud build ups may produce an isolated downpour / thunderstorm during the afternoon for inland areas then easing later in the evening. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon, high's reaching into the mid to high twenties.

Lower South Island

Any morning cloud breaks to sunny areas, showers develop about hills and ranges in the afternoon, some may be heavy with thunderstorms then easing later in the evening. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon. High's in the mid to late twenties although perhaps not escaping the low twenties for South Westland.
