Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

A mix of sun and cloud for Auckland, mainly sunny skies elsewhere with warm afternoon highs especially about Northland and Bay Of Plenty. West to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 21-25

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

A mix of sun and cloud with breezy westerlies, chance of a light morning patchy shower (mainly coastal Taranaki southwards) otherwise a mainly dry day.
Highs: 18-23

Eastern North Island

Sunny and hot with light winds, a chance winds may tend easterly right on the coastal fringe in the afternoon about Hawkes Bay.
Highs: 28-32

Wellington

Sunny spells with brisk to strong northerly winds.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny and hot with northwesterly breezes about Marlborough, Nelson sees west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 25-30

Canterbury

Sunny and hot with northwesterly winds, southerlies freshen about South Canterbury in the afternoon reaching North Canterbury by evening. Some cloud develops later in the evening / overnight.
Highs: 27-30

West Coast

Mostly cloudy skies, there may be some sun to start the day about North Westland. Areas of rain about Fiordland during the day, the odd patchy shower spreads northwards late afternoon or evening. West to northwesterly winds.

Southland & Otago

Areas of rain for Southland from morning, Otago sees thickening cloud in the morning then a few patchy showers from afternoon. Southwesterly winds about Southland spread northwards gradually during the afternoon.
Highs: 14-24
