High pressure brings mainly settled weather across New Zealand today.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with light south to southeasterly winds, some cloud possible about eastern Northland. Some overnight low cloud or fog possible for the Waikato.
High: 16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mainly sunny with light winds tending westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-15

Eastern North Island

Drizzle patches or showers clear about Gisborne in the morning then cloud breaks to sunny spells, southerlies tend easterly later in the day. Hawkes Bay sees morning cloud break to sunny spells, the Wairarapa is mainly sunny. Afternoon northeasterlies Hawkes Bay southwards.

Wellington

Sunny with northerly winds.
High: 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury

Mainly sunny after any morning low cloud or fog breaks away, possibly returning again at night. Light winds tend east to northeast near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 13-14

West Coast

Sunny spells with light southwesterly winds, drizzle patches from afternoon about Fiordland then showers there overnight.
High: 12

Southland & Otago

Sunny areas and some high cloud, northwesterly breezes. Winds change southerly overnight about Southland with showers.
Highs: 11-15
