Weather Video: Rain clouds building, wet weekend for some

Filed in:

The run of sunny and warmer than average weather for many parts of New Zealand is about to come to and end - and for notherners the cloudy-ish weather will get even cloudier.

High pressure and warm weather remains across Wednesday and Thursday but by Friday a cold front will cross the country bringing cooler air and more wet weather.

An area of rain or showers in the upper North Island may also stall and remain all weekend - one to watch.

By Sunday the South Island will be windier and colder and by Monday high pressure will dominate the North Island again - but not the South Island. We are smack bang in the middle of spring now.
