Weather Video: Next low for NZ, plus we track major Hurricane Maria

Wednesday is one of the nicest days of the week for New Zealand ahead of the next low pressure system coming in on Thursday and Friday, mostly for the North Island but also brushing the upper half of the South Island.

By the the weekend, conditions aren’t too bad around New Zealand with good voting weather for Saturday but more typical westerlies and western showers developing again on Sunday.

We also head over to the Caribbean where historic Hurricane Maria is closing in on Puerto Rico as a monster Category 5 storm.

It may be the strongest storm in history to make landfall in the island nation, home to around 3.4 million people.
