Weather Video: Another week, another low

This week kicks off with mostly sunny, calm and frosty weather in the North Island but a developing sub-tropical airflow pushes into parts of the South Island ahead of a low on Wednesday and Thursday.

By mid week this low could be quite large in the Tasman Sea but latest guidance suggests it will weaken as it crosses northern New Zealand later this week.

There is a chance of strong winds and heavy rain for a time in some regions – but as of today it doesn’t look like a “major†system for everyone to monitor. In saying that, it’s still ‘one to watch’ if you live in the North Island in particular with more heavy rain possible.
