Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly cloud, some sun may break through from afternoon at times especially about the Bay Of Plenty. Low risk of a shower or two, mainly morning otherwise dry. Southwesterly winds, breezy about Auckland.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning cloud with the chance of a shower then breaking to sunny spells, west to southwest winds, fresh about the Taranaki coast.
Highs: 21-22

Eastern North Island
Mainly sunny with light winds tending southerly in the afternoon, some evening cloud.
Highs: 22-23

Wellington
Mostly sunny with light winds tending southerly mid morning, some cloud later in the day.
Highs: 19-20

Marlborough & Nelson
Some morning sun then becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon about Marlborough. Light southerlies tend easterly after midday. Nelson has a mainly sunny day, a few clouds after midday with light winds tending northeast.

Canterbury
Mostly cloudy with light southerlies tending easterly in the afternoon, the odd light shower or drizzle patch possible otherwise mainly dry.

West Coast
A few morning showers clear, cloud breaks to sunny spells in the afternoon especially about South Westland, perhaps remaining a little cloudier further north. The odd shower may even hang about parts of Buller for much of the day. Light westerlies.

Southland & Otago
Cloudy areas about Southland, morning cloud breaks to sun elsewhere. Light south to southwesterly winds, chance of a shower or two about Southland otherwise mainly dry.
