A ridge brings settled weather to the South Island today. In the North Island expect a southerly airflow with cloud and a few showers in the east, mainly dry out west with sunnier conditions.

Northland

Sunny with a few clouds about, southerly winds freshen around midday bringing the risk of a few showers till evening.

Auckland

Mostly sunny with southwesterly winds freshening in the afternoon

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with southerly winds.

High: 15

Waikato & Central North Island

Mostly sunny with southerly winds, chance of some cloud and the odd shower
about southern parts of the Central North Island.

Highs: 11-14

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with brisk southwesterlies, the odd shower.

High: 12

Taranaki

Mostly sunny with brisk southeasterly winds.

High: 12

Western North Island

Cloudy periods with southerly winds, the odd showers possible.

High: 11

Wellington
Cloudy periods with
brisk to strong southerlies, the odd brief shower possible at times (mainly
later today).
