Cloudy periods Auckland northwards with light
winds tending southwesterly, the odd light shower about too. About the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty expect mostly sunny weather with light winds.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, some cloud at times mainly about coastal areas. Along the east coast some cloud develops in the morning, chance of a light shower from afternoon but mainly just about exposed coastal
areas.

Upper South Island

Fairly cloudy about the Nelson area with light winds, chance of a drizzle patch or two. Elsewhere expect mostly sunny weather with light winds, some cloud at times along the West Coast.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, about Southland westerlies bring periods of cloud and the chance of a light shower or two. Fiordland also sees cloudy periods with drizzle patches now and then, especially afternoon onwards.
