Poll Results: NZers don’t especially love a stormy spring

With so many people passionately into weather we are a little surprised so few of you love a stormy spring – or perhaps it does make sense when you think about how many of you rely on the weather for an income and work out in it.

Our recent poll asked what sort of spring you enjoy. Just 17% said “Stormy and chaotic”. 47% said average and 36% love it quieter than average.

That’s 83% of you who prefer a normal to quieter than normal spring compared to 17% that love the weather to be wild.

It’s just as well we live in New Zealand – spring in places like Canada can lead to major and crippling snow storms, while in the US deadly tornado outbreaks are common. Australia can also have severe springs with flash flooding, thunderstorms and bushfires.  Our weather can be stormy, especially Octobers, but this year we have a much quieter pattern in our part of the planet.

Our next poll will be out on Labour Day morning.
