We've recently seen a big change in the weather pattern across the country. From over a month of almost non-stop sou'westerlies to light, humid, nor'westers and more cloud.
Many people that WeatherWatch.co.nz has spoken to this morning are thrilled to see a change, even if it is gloomier.
So, from one extreme to another - which one do you prefer?

SW-NE axis flows (or
SW-NE axis flows (or basically SW, WSW, some W, NE, ENE, E) are generally very good for Wellington, the topogrpahy both loclaly and in the surrounding regions meaning that very little wind is experienced and conditions can be very clear with the SW types, and pretty warm with the NE types. SE-NW domination (which has occurred too often this year) is much less pleasant.
Far prefer the warmer calmer
Far prefer the warmer calmer days even if they are grey then the awful winds that we had last month min Invercargill. Fingers crossed that this month isn't as blustery and is warmer.
weather extremes
You seem to have overlooked that in Wellington souwesters are not a common wind. Generally we get northwesterlies - often warm and sometimes wet, sometimes dry- or southerlies -usually wet and cold, with southeasterlies being often the most unpleasant - so the question doesn't really make sense here. So no way we can answer the question sensibly! Calm is best- you can't beat Wellington on a good day they say!

I don't prefer either of the options.
I prefer the seasons for what they are and if anything goes against them, then I would like a thunderstorm or 2, rather than boring non-eventful weather.

Depends where you are
In Auckland No to SWers but it could be the opposite if youre in Eastern locations or Wellington.
Love all of it!
Im not in gloomy old England anymore so I like all the weather here!! The cloudier warmer days are great but the sunnier days are even more fantastic!!
I'd rather have sun and less
I'd rather have sun and less heat, since overcast weather generally lowers my mood. However, grey, drizzly humidity at this time of year makes me feel very Christmassy, which I think is a sad reflection on the predominant weather situation in Auckland on December 25th throughout the last 30-odd years, LOL.
I prefer cooler weather and
I prefer cooler weather and the warm, tropical and humid stuff I do not like too much.
What a terrible choice! lol!

Choice of wx
...well, actually I was going to pick the one in the middle, but couldn't find it, so went for the next best....the lower humidity one 8 - D....sorry AK !
I know I am strange but I
I know I am strange but I love cold weather, and I like the rain. So a bit of both would be good - I am not a huge fan of summer and always look forward to colder days. Of my pick of the two on this poll I picked the cooler but sunnier.
I totally agree!! I too
I totally agree!! I too prefer cooler weather and look forward to the winter more than i would for summer. Winter weather just seems to be a lot more interesting for me.
