More gale force winds are coming in this week from the westerly quarter.

While some areas may see winds easing back later on Monday, the west to north west gales return overnight to Southland and Otago, then over Tuesday and Wednesday gale to severe gale winds may affect many southern and eastern areas.

It’s a busy week across the country weather-wise – and the strong winds may even fan temperatures closer to 30 degrees than 20 for those in the east.
