Low pressure hangs around New Zealand today bringing mainly unsettled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Areas of cloud, a few isolated showers also mainly from afternoon (one or two may be heavy) then easing later in the evening. Light northeasterly winds.
Highs: 21-23

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Occasional showers, chance of an isolated heavy fall in the afternoon then clearing later in the evening. Light east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 19-23

Eastern North Island
Areas of rain or showers about the Wairarapa, further north conditions are mainly dry in the morning then isolated showers develop in the afternoon especially about the ranges. Showers ease then clear for Hawkes Bay and Gisborne later in the evening. Northeasterly winds.
Highs: 18-22

Wellington
Areas of rain, easing in the evening. Cool southerly winds.
High: 16-17

Marlborough & Nelson
Rain with east to southeasterly winds, rain may be heavy in the morning about Nelson.
Highs: 14-17

Canterbury
Cloudy with some rain about North Canterbury spreading southwards in the morning. Light southeasterlies.
Highs: 10-14

West Coast
Rain about North Westland spreads southwards this afternoon, easterly winds.
Highs: 16-17

Southland & Otago
Mostly cloudy about Southland, may be a shower mainly in the morning. Otago sees morning cloud break to sunny spells. Light east to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-14
