A ridge brings fairly settled weather to the country tonight, expect areas of cloud for most eastern regions however. A southerly airflow pushes drizzle / showers into some coastal parts north of Banks Peninsula in the east.

Auckland & Northland

Mainly clear skies with southerly winds, easing later this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Bay Of Plenty

Clear skies with light south to southwesterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies with southerly winds, fresh. About southern parts of the
Central North Island (Central Plateau) cloud may be a little more prominant with
the chance of a brief spit of two overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 1-2

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with the odd shower about northern Hawkes Bay northwards,
overnight a few showers spreading to most. Southwesterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies with south to southeasterly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Western North Island

Periods of cloud, the odd shower possible overnight south of Wanganui.
Southerly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 5

Wellington

Cloudy spells with breezy southerlies, the odd shower.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Nelson

Clear spells with light winds.

Tonight’s Low: 2

Marlborough

Cloudy areas with light winds, chance of a drizzle patch or two about
Southern Marlborough / south of Clifford Bay.

Tonight’s Lows: 1-4

Canterbury

Fairly cloudy skies with light southwesterlies, about South Canterbury
skies are clearer where there will be colder overnight lows. Chance of some
light drizzle overnight north of about Banks Peninsula.

Tonight’s Lows: 4-6

West Coast

Clear skies with light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-3

Coastal Otago

Clear spells with light southwesterly winds.

Tonight’s Low: 6

Central Otago

Mainly clear skies with light winds, a few clouds about overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: -1-0

Southland

Some coastal cloud with the chance of a light brief shower or two, clearer
skies inland, light westerlies.

Tonight’s Low: 6
