Chilly conditions head slowly north

Temperatures in the south have remained very cool as the mass of cold air with drizzly showers heads slowly north.

13s and 14s are dotting the east of the mainland but the rain hasn't been as heavy as initially forecast.

It's been a different story in central and northern areas with plenty of sunshine and the thermometer nudging the high 20s in some cases.
